"To celebrate our sixth anniversary, I decided to go upscale—and chose Habibibi for the occasion. We arrived early, just before 6:20 pm, without a reservation, and were lucky to be seated at a lovely outdoor table overlooking the busy and vibrant Miami River. We started with two beautiful cocktails and skipped the appetizers. For our main course, we had the “Lollipop” Côtelettes D’Agneau (lamb chops) and the Branzino Grillé, paired with fries and Herb Lemon Potatoes. Everything was flavorful and well presented. Around 8:45 pm, we were politely informed that we had reached the 2-hour seating limit and had to vacate the table. While I understand this is common practice at trendy spots post-COVID, it can feel like it cuts the evening short—especially on a special night. We moved to the bar for two more drinks and enjoyed the belly dancers, which added a lively touch. However, a small downside: the bar has no chairs, which felt a bit inconvenient. The interior is luxurious and beautifully styled, evoking a Moroccan or broader Arab ambiance that really enhances the experience. My only real criticism is the limited selection of main courses—only five options. While this may be a trend in modern upscale dining, I personally prefer a bit more variety, especially having lived in Europe (in the Netherlands and Spain), where I’ve enjoyed a broader range of Arab and Moroccan cuisine. All in all, a memorable evening—great atmosphere, delicious food, and lively entertainment. Giving it 4 stars due to the limited menu and time restriction."
